Edit
This vanilla grilled donut is very simple to cook. All you need is a few mixing bowls, a shaker and a donut pan. If you don't have it, you must ASAP. You can have fresh baked donuts in less than 20 minutes and they are much healthier than those commonly fried.
For the Donuts
- 1 1/4 flour cups (I used buckwheat)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (I used coconut)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 vanilla teaspoon extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 chia egg
- 2/3 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup of milk (I used almonds)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- FOR THE GLAZE
- 180 g | 1 cup organic natural powdered sugar
- 5 teaspoons of light coconut milk
- natural food coloring
- cacao for the chocolate glaze
For the donuts :
1. Heat oven to 350 ° F / 175c
2. Lightly spray a donut pan with cooking spray
In medium bowl, stir together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder ,, cinnamon
3. In separate bowl beat chia egg, oil, milk, maple syrup, and with a whisk.
4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients; fold until just combined.
5. Transfer the mixture to the donut pan filling about half full.
6. Use on oven center 10 to 12 minutes or until the donuts are golden around edges and spring back when touched.
7. Remove from oven, repeat with remaining batter
Four the glaze
1. When the donuts are cool, make the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar with the light coconut milk until very smooth.
2. Do not add too much liquid. You need the glaze to be very thick but pourable.
2. If you want a white glaze, you can ignore the next steps
4. For the pink glaze add a drop at a time of natural pink food coloring until you get a baby pink color
5. For the cacao add around 1/2 tsp until you reach your desired color
6. Dip the nicely rounded side of each donut After dipping the last donut, start again with the first. We want to double them to get a nice thick glaze.
7. Leave on the cooling rack until the glaze has set.
